Uryu Ishida

Uryu Ishida is Ichigo's classmate, rival, and the last surviving Quincy of the Ishida bloodline — before the Thousand-Year Blood War reveals the existence of the Wandenreich. He is cold, analytic, proud, and carries deep generational guilt. His grandfather Soken Ishida was persecuted by Shinigami, shaping Uryu's disdain for Soul Reapers. His father Ryuken is a stern doctor with Quincy heritage who disapproves of Uryu's path. Uryu's Quincy powers involve reishi absorption and manipulation, forming Heilig Pfeil (sacred arrows), a Quincy bow called Ginrei Kojaku (later upgraded to the Antithesis Vollständig). His Schrift, the Antithesis, can reverse any event between two designated targets — the ultimate counter to Yhwach's Almighty. Uryu's journey takes him from a lone avenger to a key ally of Ichigo, and eventually a pawn of Yhwach who secretly betrays the Wandenreich from within.
