Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo Kurosaki is the most unique being in the Bleach universe. Born to a Shinigami father (Isshin) and a Quincy mother (Masaki), Ichigo is a natural-born hybrid of every major spiritual race. His journey begins when Rukia Kuchiki transfers her Shinigami powers into him, and over the course of the series he awakens his Shinigami, Hollow, Quincy, and Fullbring powers. His Zanpakutō, Zangetsu, is a massive cleaver-like blade representing his Hollow powers, while his Quincy powers manifest as Old Man Zangetsu. Ichigo's defining trait is his ability to protect: he fights not for glory but to keep his friends safe, and this simple drive allows him to overcome impossible odds. His Bankai, Tensa Zangetsu, condenses all his power into a compact, lightning-fast black blade. In the Thousand-Year Blood War, Ichigo learns his true origins, forges a new dual-Zanpakutō, and masters a true Bankai. Ichigo is stubborn, hot-headed, and emotionally driven — the quintessential shonen hero.
